Now, more than ever, it’s important to have a personal “tribe”. Your tribe can be family, friends, or a combination of the two. Each member might serve a different purpose and it is so important to know who plays what role.
This post won’t be a long or deep one. Just a few lines to serve as a reminder to include “mental members“ in your tribe. What are mental members? Those are the people you can turn to when you are mentally having a rough day or even just a rough moment. They will take the time to listen to you. They will take a moment out of their schedule to talk to you and ease you off of your mental ledge. These members should be able to sense when something is wrong or off and make sure (or at least try to make sure) you’re good.
It is imperative that (1) you include these people in your tribe, and (2) know the difference between them and the rest because calling on the wrong members could make matters worse (and not on purpose). Can you imagine having a melt down and the person you call on says “Oh, let me call you right back”…And doesn’t…Just wow, right?!?! There are different people for different assignments. This was a lesson everyone should learn. Having a tribe is important but KNOWING your tribe is imperative!
