TAMPA…in 24 Hours

I had the pleasure of traveling to Tampa for some foodie business and this is how it went...

Transportation:

I flew with Southwest Airlines, which is always a pleasure. You are allowed to check two bags, up to 50 pounds each, for free. You're also allowed one carry on item and one personal item. The flight crew was very friendly and helpful.

Hotel:

Tampa Hotel Riverwalk by Curio Hilton. The location was great. It's very close to the Downtown Attractions. I had a city view room with a balcony. The room was very spacious and clean. There is a nice pool and the weather was perfect to enjoy a dive. You can enjoy food and drinks from the poolside restaurant or dine in at the hotel restaurant. My only complaint (more like observation) was that the bathroom seems a little dated.

Attractions:

The Tampa Acquarium is perfect for families and a welcoming treat right in the heart of downtown.

Sparkmans Wharf is the place you want to be for food, drinks, music, and more! You can sit bayside while watching cruise ships and enjoying food from Jotoro, treats from Hampton Chocolate Factory, and drinks from one of the bars. Take the family to Splitsville for bowling.

It's a 15-20 minute drive from the TPA airport and can make a great day trip.

And of course...THE BEACH! Because who doesn't like fun in the sand and sun!

What are your favorite Tampa spots?
